Operation Photo Rescue
A worthwhile endeavor.. Operation Photo Rescue is helping the families of Hurricane Katrina to recover and restore family pictures damaged in the storm. Sometimes a photo is all that is left, and they become priceless treasures.
Becky Sell and Dave Ellis began the mission, story on Fredricksburg.com I contacted them a few days ago and volunteered my restoration services. I was really surprised that I got a response, and they wound up sending me a couple of photos to work on. I got them finished today and I think they turned out pretty good. They seemd to think so too! It feels pretty good to be able to do something like this. God has seen fit to give me the ability to do fair work in the area of photo restoration, and what better way to use it than to aid those so much in need. If you're interested in the photos they sent, the first can be found here, http://www.garazon.com/cpg1/displayimage.php?album=50&pos=13 , use the arrows to go to the next photo which s the restored version, and follwing that is the second pic they sent.
