My first trip overseas!
Mark this day down people!!! This is the first time in my 50 odd years of being on this planet that I have bought a plane ticket! :o) lol Yes it's true! Not once has this man ever been on a plane! Heck I have hardly been out of North Carolina!! So being the brave soul I am, actually the lovestruck soul is more like it, my first trip ever on a plane is going to be to Cyrpus! Oh I must be in love to tackle this! lol Well of course I am in love! What else would make this simple man go and get a passport, and
then open a travelocity account to search the cheapest flight! :) Well I was really quite anxious the last few months to even think about changing planes in those large airports. I'm not concerned of the flying part, I think I will enjoy that. It's the worry of missing a connecting flight and getting stranded in some foreign country and trying to get back on track! lol Well Alison assures me I will manage ok, and I think too now that I have been a couple of times to pick her up and take her back to Norfolk International Airport I am getting the feel of what I need to do. I'll have to relate the story soon of the trouble we had with her original return flight and having to deal with a right bitchy Delta clerk! They refused to allow her to get on the plane, because she didn't have a visa that she didnt need in the first place!! :o) Well i will add that story later, But rest assured I made sure none of my connecting flights were on Delta Airlines!
You know though the minute I had booked the flight and got the confirmation I felt all the anxiousness leave me! And I am so excited now and counting the days to October 9 when I land in Paphos, Cyprus and kiss my fiancee for waht wll be 4 months by that time! Believe me that I can't wait. It was one f the worst days I can remember the day I let her get on that plane to go back home. :( And I have been missing her every minute since then. So in 102 days now I will be stepping off a plane and back into the arms of the woman I love and adore! God is good!
