It saved me a misspelling earlier today when I posted the title "Sophomoric Humor", leaving the middle "O" out. It saves me nearly every day, come to think of it. Back in groups, I would delete and redo a post if I noticed a misspelled word in it. I don't even consider that "anal", but more of an embarrassment. It's not so bad on the 'net -- unless the Grammar Gestapo happens upon the post -- but it's hard for me to fathom how people let those things you mentioned go out with mistakes. I think it reflects badly upon the business. If the front office makes grammatical errors, who is to say they won't make errors in their bookkeeping, esp. when inputting the UPC codes/prices. Hey, I found a nifty "flag counter", a whole lot like Feedjit, but keeps a running total, sorted by country. Clicking on the graphic will take you to a pie chart breakdown, plus a world map and page views. I really appreciate my Firefox spellcheck. I remember when my youngest daughter was subjected to this in elementary school. I was freaking out about the way she was spelling words on her homework and we had several chats with the teachers about it. (Not that I don;t make more than my fair share of typos and errors on this blog, but I do know "your" from "you're" and "hookt" from "hooked" ;) ) Anyway, I don't know if it was a help or a hindrance really, I see things like this now and wonder.
