Ad Beta testing in progress

3 July 2008

I am beta testing an addition to the ScribeFire addon to the Firefox browser. QuickAds. Apologies in advance to any of my readers for some ads maybe appearing in odd places as I experiment a bit with this new addon. Any feedback would be appreciated if you see anything that is causing problems with you viewing the site correctly or something not working right. There shouldnt be any problems with site navigation or posting as it seems to be a very well written program and doesnt add any extraneous code to the site engine itself, just to the template page where the ads are inserted.

One of my favourite Firefox addons, ScribeFire, is beta testing what sounds to be a great addition to their already powerful blog editor. Named QuickAds, its giving webmasters the ability to place fully optimized ads on your site from many networks and making them available to mange in one easy place, no more going around to different ad sites and managing your ads,its all in one space now and never been easier to place an ad on your blog wherever you want it. After signing up and installing the new beta it was really a simple matter of point and click where you want the ad to appear in your blog. Now i will say at present there are only 3 ad sizes available, the reason given ” these are the ad units our sales team has had the most success selling direct into so running these sizes gives your site the best chance at maximum revenue results” well i can understand that but considering the layouts of many blog templates these days the sizes are just a little ill fitting, especially in my case, but its not stopping me from hoping they will add a couple of more size options as I can see this is going to be a great way to managing ads on our blogs. Can’t wait to see it released publicly. But for now if you’re a blogger interested in placing ads on your blog, register now for ScribeFire QuickAds, its going to be big!
