Miss you, love you

They’re saying now it will be around 3am this morning before Earl is supposed to be off of Cape Hatteras so it’s going to be a very long night! :( Just now the wind is beginning to pick up here. This is one of the tiring parts of going through these things, the waiting. It’s nerve wracking at times just sitting and wondering. Guess we have things at the ready, food and supplies, over 100 gallons of water stored up and all the hatches battened down so its just the wait. With it being night when it hits I wont be able to see or record any video. Probably could get some audio but who wants to hear that! Anyway we’re safe and just sitting around, going to get a shower soon and afterwards fill up the tub with water as well. Then I think its time for a gin and tonic! ;) even went back to the store to get the lemon!!

My baby on the skype tonight :)

We had chance again this evening to sit and speak a while but i think it was more looking and wanting to reach out and touch than it was talking! I do love seeing my Angel along with hearing her. Its been so hard these past months to be apart and separated byt this huge distance. Just the simple joy of ceeing and speaking is beyond description. Thank God for this technology. It has kept us very connected for so long now. I know even if we didnt have it we would still stay very close as we have a bond and connection that goes way beyond, not needing an “mod-cons” at all really. But I am still thankful we have them, though none of them can ever match that up close and touchable feeling, nothing.

Now I may get myself in trouble by posting this next pic, as my baby doesnt like to be seen in glasses, but I think she looks sexy in her specs! Works for me anyway! ;)Dont know why the lighting was diferent here though. When we first started the skype it was like this and eventually cleared up, guess it depends a lot on the type of lighting and the distance too we are from the screen. Either way she looks lovely to me! 10 days to go now, one day nearer to our heaven. Miss you so very much Alison mou.

OK technically its 13 days 2 hours 4 minutes and 20 odd seconds as I start this post, but I like the idea of a dozen days better! :)

Another Skype video call with my Beautiful Bride to be

Its still hard to believe we are finally so close to our dream coming true, less than two weeks now. I cant wait! This distance apart has been so hard on us, but always we manage to stay close, and Skype has been a wonderful way to keep in touch. its usually a very good connection and very reliable. Occasionally we have a bit of noise or interference, but generally we manange very well with it, and the added bonus of being able to see the other is a treasure beyond compare. for these last few months Alison’s webcam in Cyprus wasnt hooked up, mainly because her computer was a bit slow to begin with but also not the highest connection speed, So until she got to the UK to use JM’s laptop I haven’t been able to see her except in still pics. Its hard to describe the feeling of seeing each other ‘live’ so to speak. But I can tell you its one wonderful experience, even today I am feeling a bit off with a cold/flu bug, but just seeing and hearing her was the best medicine I could hope to have. :) The only hard thing is saying goodbye, even if its only a short while before we speak again. Miss her madly as it is, and with these days dwindling down I am missing her even more each and every day. But soon, in just a dozen days from now we will have everything we dreamed of and more. love you Mrs G Sleep well and sweet dreams ( it’s 1 AM in the UK now) ;)
